Thankfully, Windows 10 has a built-in way for you to read your Wi-Fi password without having to reset your router. This is an important security measure if someone else tries to guess your Wi-Fi password.
What to do
If you’ve forgotten or misplaced your WLAN network password, you can read it in Windows 10 without any further effort. To do this, right-click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar and go to Open Network and Sharing Center. Here we can see our current Wi-Fi connection.
Right-click the name of the network next to Connections. In the next window, select Wireless Connection Properties. In the Network security key field, you will find the Wi-Fi password on the Security tab. To display it legibly, place a checkmark in front of Show Characters.
