The case

Consulting firm Deloitte uses a cloud-based mail system to allow employees to easily access emails from anywhere globally and on any device. Unfortunately, the system was hacked, and hackers gained access to all the information stored. The investigation found that part of the hacking was made possible by the fact that some of the IT systems were outdated and that software updates were not properly installed.
